My work consists of revealing this surprise emerging from chaos, sometimes by marrying it with a mineral or animal material, and often by employing delicate patina techniques. What is more fascinating than seeing a seashell from the Indian Ocean converse with a piece of Navarrese wood destined for the fire?\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eMuch like the chance encounter of an umbrella and a sewing machine, so dear to André Breton, for me, emotion is born from the unexpected marriage between a labradorite pebble and a bicentennial piece of wood unearthed from the silt of a Basque river.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eFar from the \"Rive Gauche\" artist postures, I prefer to place myself as a servant to Mother Nature’s infinite creativity. The photographer, like the sculptor, is a watcher of the ephemeral, attempting to make a fleeting moment eternal. While Mozart and da Vinci approach the divine, they could never eclipse the perfection of a blooming flower.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eInstead of sharpening critical faculties from childhood, shouldn't we instead cultivate our capacity for wonder? My only vocation is to lift a corner of the veil on the beauty that many pass by without seeing. The rest is just ego and vanity.
