" There is a form of balance that I am always looking for - one that combines beauty, simplicity, and emotion. "

JULIET

ARTEFIKO

Furniture & decorative objects design, SAINTE-CATHERINE (62)

Juliette tells us how her appreciation for beauty and the far-off led her to imagine interiors that are sensitive and deeply personal.

Tell us your story, how did you find your calling?

I have always been drawn to interiors with a soul, where every object has its place and a story to tell. My appreciation for beauty, craftsmanship, and natural materials grew throughout my studies, my experiences, and especially my travels. One day, everything fell into place: it was time to create ARTEFIKO.

How would you describe your style and artistic approach in a few words?

Sleek, warm, timeless. Each ARTEFIKO piece is conceived as a breath of authenticity within an interior.

I create and curate unique artisanal pieces: tables, tableware, decorative objects… Each ARTEFIKO creation blends raw materials, clean lines, and human craftsmanship to bring meaning and beauty into our homes.

What themes or subjects inspire you the most in your work?

Natural materials, simplicity of form, the imperfection of the human touch. I love what is handmade, what doesn't cheat, what has a soul.

How do you work?

I create with a blend of instinct and precision. Each piece takes shape from a drawing, a texture, a feeling. I pay particular attention to materials, proportions, and lines. Nothing is set in stone: I let my ideas evolve through trial and error, until I find the right rhythm, the right material, the right balance. My high standards guide every step, ensuring the result lives up to the intention.

Do you have a particular technique, a specific expertise? Without revealing all your secrets, have you developed your own methods and techniques?

Over time, I have developed my own way of imagining a piece: an instinctive attention to lines, high standards for materials, and a sharp eye for the details that make the difference. I compose each creation with an overall, almost intuitive coherence, ensuring it naturally finds its place in an interior. There is a form of balance I am always seeking—one that combines beauty, simplicity, and emotion.

Tell us about your daily life, your constraints, your joys, your successes…

Every day is different: between the designs, choosing materials, discussions with my partners, logistics, and content creation, I am always on the move. The work doesn't stop at creation: deliveries are an integral part of my daily life, with their fair share of challenges. You have to organize, anticipate, and sometimes reassure. But it is also very rewarding to follow each piece to its final destination. What I prefer most are those simple yet precious moments: a table set with care, a touching message from a client, or a piece that naturally finds its place in an interior. That is where it all makes sense.

Any message you'd like to convey, or anything else you'd like to share?

I want to invite everyone to bring meaning back to what they choose for their home. Behind every piece, there is time, hands, ideas, and a story. Surrounding ourselves with objects that reflect who we are, that last, and that have a soul, is also a way of creating a place where we feel at home. ARTEFIKO is, above all, that: a sensitive perspective on things, and the desire to offer beauty, differently.
