FAQ

About Mirette

What is Mirette?

Mirette is an art and craft marketplace that connects buyers with professional French artists and artisans. The platform selects one-of-a-kind and small-batch pieces — ceramics, jewelry, painting, furniture, textiles — and lets each maker sell their work directly.

Where does the name "Mirette" come from?

"Mirette" comes from the French verb mirer, to look at closely, and is also the name of a sculptor's tool used to remove excess material — a nod to the careful selection work carried out on the platform.

What does Mirette actually do for artists and artisans?

Mirette takes care of visibility, administration, customer relations and completing transactions, so that each maker can focus fully on their craft. Making, packing and shipping the pieces remain entirely in the hands of the artist or artisan.

Buying on Mirette

How do I know an artisan is verified on Mirette?

Every artist and artisan on Mirette has a verified professional status and their own profile page, which you can view before buying, so you know exactly who you are buying from.

Can I return an item if I change my mind?

Yes, you have 14 days after delivery to request a return from your account, provided the piece is in its original condition, unused and in its packaging. Once your request is accepted, you will receive the address of the artist to send it back to. The refund is issued as soon as the artist has received and checked the piece. Personalised or made-to-order creations cannot be returned.

What happens if my parcel arrives damaged?

Contact us as soon as you receive it via the "Contact us" page, attaching photos of the parcel and the piece. Every artist and artisan is required to take out shipping insurance. Each case is reviewed individually.

How are shipping costs calculated?

Costs vary according to the weight and size of the item. Shipping costs are calculated automatically on the cart page.

How long does delivery take?

Lead times vary depending on the artist and available stock — always check the product page for an accurate estimate. As a rule, allow between 1 week and 1 month. For furniture, it can take up to 8 weeks.

Does Mirette deliver throughout France and abroad?

The delivery area depends on each artist or artisan. If a destination does not appear in the list offered at checkout, delivery is not possible there for that piece.
Feel free to contact us with any specific request.

How do I contact Mirette about my order?

Through the form on the "Contact us" page. Logging in to your customer account also lets you check whether delivery to a given address is possible.
