EA-THA CERAMICS

" I really like the different colors of raw clay; I use a transparent glaze for food safety and I like to leave the exterior raw for a difference in texture. I love the sleek and minimalist style where the object speaks for itself. "

EA-THA CERAMICS

Ceramicist, Le Chambon sur Lignon (43)

Léa shares her story, her daily life, and the joy of being able to dedicate herself to what she loves every day.

Tell us your story, how did you find your calling?

I discovered ceramics among other activities and was immediately hooked by the texture and the infinite possibilities for creation. I used to be a server, and it has been important to me to create plates that elevate every dish served and showcase beautiful table settings.

How would you describe your style and your artistic approach in a few words?

I really like the different colors of raw clay; I use a transparent glaze for food safety and like to leave the exterior raw for a contrast in texture. I love a clean, minimalist style where the object speaks for itself.

What themes or subjects inspire you the most in your work?

Nature, handmade, French craftsmanship

How do you work?

I work from home where I have set up my studio, working with modeling, slab building, and pinching techniques. I let my imagination run free throughout the seasons and as inspiration strikes.

Tell us about your daily life, your constraints, your joys, your successes…

It has been a year since I started working for myself full-time, and I find it wonderful to be able to dedicate myself to what I love doing. The encounters, the sharing, and constantly learning more.
