"Teardrop" shaped earring to evoke the radiance and reflection of light found on a drop of water when rain falls.
Straw marquetry is a very time-consuming and luxurious technique that consists of applying dyed rye straw to various surfaces. I meticulously select each strand, open them, flatten them, and apply them one by one onto different bases (furniture, decorative objects, paintings...).
Dimensions: Total height 5.5cm / width 2cm / Thickness 3mm
The straw is grown, cut, and dyed in France, in the Burgundy-Franche-Comté region. Small-batch piece handmade in my small workshop in the Hauts-de-France region.
Materials: Plywood base covered with rye straw, white vinyl glue, 925 sterling silver findings (does not contain lead, cadmium, or nickel)
Earrings delivered in their jewelry box.
Please note, color shades may vary slightly depending on your screen calibration.
Shipped via La Poste Colissimo with insurance and internal protective packaging.
Care: Straw marks easily from impacts and scratches. Wipe gently with a simple soft cloth to remove dust. It is possible to dampen the cloth very slightly (not wet) to remove more persistent dirt. For the silver findings, wipe away any oxidation marks using a microfiber cloth.
