"Teardrop" shaped earring to evoke the sparkle and reflection of light found on a drop of water when it rains
Straw marquetry is a very time-consuming and luxurious technique that consists of applying dyed rye straw onto various surfaces. I select each strand meticulously, open them, flatten them, and apply them one by one onto various supports (furniture, decorative objects, paintings...).
Dimensions: Total height 5.5cm / width 2cm / thickness 3mm
The straw is grown, cut, and dyed in France, in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. Small-batch piece handmade in my small workshop in Hauts-de-France.
Materials: Plywood support covered with rye straw, white vinyl glue, 925 sterling silver findings (contains no lead, cadmium, or nickel)
Earrings delivered with their jewelry box.
Please note that color shades may vary slightly depending on your screen calibration.
Shipped via Colissimo with insurance and internal protective packaging.
Care: Straw marks easily from impacts and scratches. Wipe gently with a simple soft cloth to remove dust. It is possible to dampen the cloth very slightly (do not wet) to remove more stubborn dirt. For the silver findings, wipe away any oxidation marks using a microfiber cloth.
