Straw marquetry is a very time-consuming and luxurious technique that consists of applying dyed rye straw to various surfaces. I carefully select each strand, open them, flatten them, and apply them one by one to different supports (furniture, decorative objects, paintings...).
Dimensions: Total height 4.5cm / width 2.5cm / thickness 3mm
The straw is grown, cut, and dyed in France, in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. Small-batch piece handmade in my small workshop in the Hauts-de-France region.
Materials: Plywood base covered with rye straw, white vinyl glue, 925 sterling silver findings (lead, cadmium, and nickel-free)
Earrings delivered with their case.
Please note: color shades may vary slightly depending on your screen calibration.
Shipped via La Poste Colissimo with insurance and interior protection.
Care: Straw marks easily from impacts and scratches. Wipe gently with a soft cloth to remove dust. You may dampen the cloth very slightly (do not wet) to remove more stubborn dirt. For the silver findings, wipe away any signs of oxidation using a microfiber cloth.

Straw marquetry earrings - French craftsmanship
Round-shaped earrings with straw marquetry: straight pattern for the Charcoal Grey color and half-sun pattern for the Copper color. 925 sterling silver ear wires.
