Description
Solid wood bookcase - French craftsmanship
The Molasses bookcase is a shelf handmade in France from solid ash, walnut, brass, and carved, textured ash panels.
Characterized by its frame with gently rounded lines and its asymmetrical composition, this piece combines open shelving, concealed storage, and contrasting materials in a design that is both playful and refined.
The light tones of the ash are enhanced by elements of rich walnut and warm brass panels, creating a subtle play of colors and textures. The hand-carved cupboard doors offer a tactile surface that catches the light and highlights the craftsmanship behind every piece.
Designed as both a functional bookcase and a display case, the Molasses Bookcase offers space for books, objects, works of art, and personal collections, while serving as a sculptural focal point within a room.
Each bookcase is handmade, ensuring that variations in grain, color, and carving make every piece unique. Its finish, which highlights the natural beauty of the wood, celebrates the character of solid timber and the value of meticulous artisanal craftsmanship.>
