Very useful for easily resuming your reading where you left off.
Straw marquetry is a very lengthy and luxurious technique that consists of applying dyed rye straw onto various surfaces. I carefully select each strand, open them, flatten them, and apply them one by one to different supports (furniture, decorative objects, paintings...).
Dimensions: Height 15.5cm / width 4.5cm / thickness: 3mm
The straw is grown, harvested, and dyed in France, in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. A small-batch piece handmade in my small workshop in the Hauts-de-France region.
Materials: Plywood base covered in rye straw, white vinyl glue, water-based paint, water-based varnish, 100% synthetic tassel.
Please note, color shades may vary slightly depending on your screen calibration.
Shipped via La Poste Colissimo with insurance and protective inner packaging.
Care: Straw marks easily from knocks and scratches. Gently wipe with a simple soft cloth to remove dust.
