Straw marquetry is a very lengthy and luxurious technique that consists of applying dyed rye straw to various supports. I select each strand meticulously, open them, flatten them, and then apply them one by one to various items (furniture, decorative objects, paintings...).
Please note: the stand cannot be disassembled, as doing so would damage the marquetry.
Total dimensions: Height 16cm / width 7.8cm / depth 9cm / thickness: 3mm
Phone slot dimensions: 14.5cm / width 7.8cm / thickness: 3mm
The straw is grown, cut, and dyed in France, in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. A small-batch piece made by hand in my small workshop in the Hauts-de-France region.
Materials: Plywood support covered with rye straw, white vinyl glue, water-based paint, water-based varnish.
Please note that color shades may vary slightly depending on your screen calibration.
Shipped via La Poste Colissimo with insurance and internal protective packaging.
Maintenance: Straw marks easily from impacts and scratches. Wipe gently with a soft cloth to remove dust.
