"Flow" coffee table
Description
Polished concrete coffee table - Artisanal work
This table presents itself as a volume sculpted by an oblique gesture, where the tabletop, perfectly taut, acts as a surface of equilibrium resting upon a mass in transformation. Seen from above, the geometry seems almost strict: a sharp, angular plane with clean edges. But this rigor is immediately contradicted by the lower body, whose lines recede, curve, and hollow out.
The table plays on an assumed duality:
• in the upper part, stability, restraint, the precision of the plane;
• in the lower part, an organic, almost fluid movement that gives the impression that the material has been pulled, stretched, and eroded.
The protruding angle of the tabletop acts as a point of visual tension, guiding the eye toward the lateral recess, a true breath of form. This recess lightens the mass and creates a controlled asymmetry, rendering the object dynamic without ever breaking its balance.
Light subtly highlights the transitions between straight planes and curved surfaces, revealing a piece that can be read as much as a functional table as an architectural sculpture, designed to be observed while moving around it, from different angles.
More than a piece of furniture, this table is a presence, a silent object that structures space through its form and the tension it establishes between geometric rigor and the sensuality of the volume.
