Coffee cup, unique piece, ultra-thin coiled white glazed porcelain decorated with fine gold.
This cup is made from a sheet of ultra-thin porcelain harmoniously coiled to form the cup. First bisque firing at 980°C in an oxidizing atmosphere. Second high-temperature firing, in a gas kiln, in a reducing atmosphere at 1330°C. It is this high-temperature firing that vitrifies the porcelain and makes it translucent. Third low-temperature firing at 850°C allowing for the application of liquid gold to the porcelain with a brush.
