Straw marquetry is a very time-consuming and luxurious technique that consists of applying dyed rye straw onto various surfaces. I carefully select each strand, open them, flatten them, and apply them one by one onto different supports (furniture, decorative objects, paintings...).
Dimensions: Total height 5.5cm / width 1.6cm / thickness 3mm
The straw is grown, cut, and dyed in France, in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. Small-batch piece handmade in my small workshop in the Hauts-de-France.
Materials: Plywood base coated with rye straw, white vinyl glue, 925 sterling silver findings (contains no lead, cadmium, or nickel)
Earrings delivered in their jewelry box.
Please note, color shades may vary slightly depending on your screen calibration.
Shipped via La Poste Colissimo with insurance and internal padding.
Care: Straw marks easily from impacts and scratches. Gently wipe with a simple soft cloth to remove dust. It is possible to dampen the cloth very slightly (do not wet) to remove more stubborn dirt. For the silver findings, wipe away any signs of oxidation using a microfiber cloth.

Triangular shaped earrings featuring straw marquetry in a fan pattern in gold color, with a turquoise trim on the front and the edge of the jewelry. 925 sterling silver hooks.
