Straw marquetry is a very time-consuming and luxurious technique that consists of applying dyed rye straw to various surfaces. I carefully select each strand, open them, flatten them, and apply them one by one to various supports (furniture, decorative objects, paintings...).
Silent quartz mechanism that runs on an AA battery (not included).
Dimensions: diameter 34cm / total thickness 3.8cm
The straw is grown, cut, and dyed in France, in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. A small-batch piece handmade in my small workshop in the Hauts-de-France region.
Materials: MDF, rye straw, white vinyl glue, water-based paint and varnish, silent quartz plastic clock mechanism, metal hands
Please note that color shades may vary slightly depending on your screen calibration.
Shipped via La Poste Colissimo with insurance and interior protection.
Maintenance: Straw is easily marked by bumps and scratches. Wipe gently with a simple soft cloth to remove dust.
This clock in straw marquetry was entirely made by hand in a small workshop of art craftsman in France.

Art Deco style wall clock featuring beige straw marquetry for the straight pattern and a brown straw dial.Straw marquetry is a very time-consuming and luxurious technique that consists of applying dyed rye straw to various surfaces.
